The TIAMAT Observatory facilitates the continuous monitoring of the marine environment in the Spanish National Parks network with marine natural systems in a context of climate change:
  • Maritime-terrestrial National Park of Cabrera Archipelago (Balearic Islands)
  • Maritime-terrestrial National Park of Atlantic Islands (Galicia)
  • National Park of Doñana (Andalusia)

The TIAMAT Observatory provides continuous and timely monitoring and visualization of ocean variables and indicators, from daily (extreme event detection) to interannual and decadal scales (climate). Thus, this application aims to be:
  • A management and decision-making tool for the National Park network
  • A channel for awareness raising and communication to society about the conservation of the Parks in the context of global change

  • Proyect 2715/2021 (TIAMAT observatory) funded by Organismo Autónomo Parques Nacionales of the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico.
